IT Community Champions

IT Community Champions is a project which provides IT training to people aged 50 plus living in Nottinghamshire. The project recruits and co-ordinates volunteer IT Champion trainers giving them training and support, this training gives them the skills to support others of the same age group who wish to learn IT and web based skills. The project has a team of 30 IT Trainers throughout the county (July 2011) who deliver training to small groups of up to four people.

The sympathetic and instructive support that IT Community Champions offer is essential in breaking down barriers and demonstrates that age is no obstacle to learning IT skills.

Transport is available for those in the NG7/NG8 area.

The day care we provide is for those who are more frail and may have dementia, Alzheimer's or need help through a physical disability. We accept referrals through adult services (formally social services), or privately. This service is run by professional carers.
