We are a group of local people who have volunteered our time to help you. We have formed an organisation called the Langold Centre and have accessed funding to spend on helping you back to work and further your career prospects.

Community based training in a variety of areas, including IT for beginners. Courses are available for over 50s, and the majority of courses are free of charge or very reasonably priced.

A welcoming and friendly atmosphere in which to learn, with professionally qualified staff. Great for building confidence and learning new skills.

The training team has developed an excellent reputation by delivering high quality, interactive and relevant training to our clients. Courses are professionally presented with supporting resources to ensure learning takes place in a fun and stimulating environment. Sessions are evaluated for continuous improvement and certificates are awarded upon completion.

NewLink is an Educational and Vocational Training provider whose aim is to deliver, primarily to people with a disability, the skills required for them to feel confident and be competent with computer-based technology.

The Mansfield centre provides a range of training including computer training for beginners to advanced, courses in literacy and numeracy are also available. There is also a desktop publishing workshop run by Newlink which operates as a small business providing facilities for students to take NVQ Using Information Technology and NVQ Administration course at various levels.

All NewLink centres are fully accessible to disabled people.

Nottingham U3A is an active society with lots of different groups to get involved in. Interest groups include wine tasting, rambling, Shakespeare, opera, French Literature, sport, and groups who enjoy cinema visits, lunch clubs, book clubs, and going to concerts and plays.

There is a timetable of events classes and clubs available on the website. Depending on the activity the society meets in several venues across Nottingham.

Anyone who is retired from full-time gainful employment is welcome to join us. We are a registered charity run entirely by volunteer members, and encourage our members to get out and about on a wide variety of visits and activities.

The WEA is Britain's largest provider of voluntary adult learning opportunities.

Our courses are open only to people aged 16 or over on the start date of an LSC funded course and 19 or over on ACLS funded courses. All students have to register for the course(s) in which they are interested before the start date of the course.

At Newark College we aim to provide our community with the high standard of learning environment which our customers students, parents and employers will need for the future. The traditional learning environment at Newark has been successful in meeting a wide variety of individual needs, and we and our students have created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the College the best way to allow people to learn and develop.
