The Age UK Notts Information & Advice service operates throughout the City and County of Nottingham. Our information and advice service is independent, impartial, free and confidential.

We typically help local people in later life claim in excess of £2 million in benefit entitlements each year. We can help with benefit entitlements, such as:

  • Pension Credit.
  • Rent/Council Tax rebates.
  • Attendance Allowance.
  • Disability Living Allowance.
  • Carer’s Allowance.
  • Social Fund payments
  • Bereavement benefits.

We can also help with issues such as:

  • Gas and electricity bills.
  • Aids and adaptations.
  • Care at home.
  • Residential care.
  • Other local services and support.

Drop-in sessions

We hold drop-in advice surgeries every Monday and Thursday morning (10am to 12 noon) at Bradbury House, our Nottingham base. No appointment is necessary.

Home visiting service

We can offer home visits to disabled or housebound older people in need of help, or advice related to welfare benefit claims. Where appropriate, we will contact local advice-giving services on your behalf.

Volunteering

The success of the Information and Advice Service depends on the dedicated support of a team of trained volunteers. Contact us, without obligation, if you are interested in joining us.
